Manufacturing Engineer III

Job Overview
The North American Manufacturing Engineering group provides a broad range of services to improve the manufacturability of our designs, defines manufacturing methods for Komatsu parts, and solves issues with product manufacture at KMC and supplier manufacturing sites.
The Manufacturing Engineer 3 engages with manufacturing on a regular basis, working with local management to coordinate the capture of manufacturing methods. Working with line-level labor and supervision, the ME3 observes and documents processes and tools in text and photograph.
When not at a manufacturing site, the ME3 formally documents these processes in standard templates, then organizes and distributes the documentation through company documentation libraries.
The Manufacturing Engineer 3 also shares product and process knowledge with Design Engineering through the DFMA process to reduce cost and complexity in our machine components and assemblies. When opportunities in documented processes are identified, the ME3 will improve the processes, document the new process and communicate the improvements to the company.
Also, the Manufacturing Engineer 3 determines product routings for new or updated products; creates burn profiles for fabrication; and determines estimated cost of manufacture for our parts outsourced to vendors.
Education / Qualification
4 year degree in Engineering, preferably Industrial or Manufacturing with 10 years of experience required.
Strong written communication skills
Ability to express manufacturing concepts conversationally in meetings, face to face, over the phone and in email
Ability to work with people on a manufacturing floor in a productive, non-combative nature
Can plan and manage projects with manufacturing engineers, other internal departments, manufacturing sites, and suppliers to meet deadlines

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
