Production Supervisor - Bluefield, VA

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license.
The person in this role will manage the manufacturing staff to ensure that all orders/projects are completed on time utilizing the materials specified within hours allotted for each project at or above industry standards for quality.
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for providing accurate updates on work in process and will work with the Scheduler to adjust project schedules as required. The person in this role will attend production meetings and will be responsible for the enforcement of all company policies related to the manufacturing staff.
Essential functions
Manage his or her direct reports relative to performance, attendance, PTO, payroll timekeeping, and production efficiencies
Utilize recorded labor hours worked for each project to drive efficiencies and ensure actual hours worked do not exceed allotted hours
Utilize JTR (Job Tracking Report) to assist the Production Manager in scheduling production by department
Act as Safety Leader and drive safety initiatives
Assist the Plant Manager in the execution of the Preventative Maintenance Program and maintain the maintenance log for all equipment and vehicles as required by OSHA
Ensure that the shop, adjacent storage, and parking lots are neat and orderly at all times
Assist estimating, scheduling, and purchasing departments on an as-needed basis
Required skills, education, and experience
10+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment with 3+ years in production management
High School diploma or equivalent (some college preferred)
Proven leadership skills
Strong organizational skills
Working knowledge of various software programs including MS Word and Excel
Valid driver's license
Physical and mental demands
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Must be able to work effectively in a busy, noisy shop environment

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
