The Items Processing Clerk is responsible for working with a team to process and balance checks submitted via multiple channels to First Community Bank and to assist and answer questions that may arise from the Branch Network relating to balancing and processing capture files and transactions. Proficiency in all capturing, keying, balancing, and reject functions. Duties include processing customer adjustments, mobile capture/remote capture files, incoming cash letters, outgoing nightly cash letter(s), and nightly transfer to core as well as memo posting remote capture files, performing duplicate detection search and general ledger signature review, and submitting end of day checklists to ensure work is being verified/reviewed.
High School Diploma Ability to work evening hours Familiarity with Banking Operations preferred, but not required PC Literacy in Windows network environment Data Entry and 10-Key Experience Well organized, detail-oriented and accurate Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to work independently and as a team Ability to handle repetitive tasks

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
